Mum Friendly started in 2011 when I felt like I was repeating myself to my friends about things I found, deals I spotted, places I’d been to and so on – so figured I may as well share them on the internet.
What has actually happened is I have so much to think about I just about keep up – so have help at hand with Karen, Heather and Naomi – as well as my sister Sarah up in York who covers some Northern things – we’re all mums with kids of various ages.
We also run giveaways – if you’re a company reading this and would like to be involved, please email me – email@example.com
We accept sponsored posts, and are PR friendly. Please get in touch for our Media Pack and more information.
Reviews aren’t limited to one particular area of the country – I’ve found we’ll often have days out, and knowing other places that have good facilities means we’re more likely to try them.
I can’t answer for the others, so they can add something when they get a chance, but here’s a brief About Me:
I’m Jo, a mum of one (H – we never use her real name on here), owner of a breadmaker, a soup maker, an ice cream maker and a husband for over 12 years. I also own too many cameras, though some of them are being passed on to H who loves to take photos, and has her own neglected blog.
We rent a house in Carshalton, Surrey which is mid-way between Croydon and Sutton. Very handy for getting in to London and very handy for escaping too.
H is six going on sixty, too sensible for her own good, a fabulous reader at school (she’s just coming to the end of Year 1 and is already a Free Reader), and enjoys most things – especially reading out jokes from the Ha Ha Bonk book at the moment, it would seem.
We love our gadgets – we have two iPads and a Samsung tablet. I have a Samsung phone, and sit somewhere between Samsung and Apple.
We’ve been National Trust members for over five years and love to discover new places. More recently we’ve joined English Heritage.
We enjoy going to the Theatre, and H has already seen The Sound of Music, plus we have tickets booked for the Annie revival later this year. We also enjoy going to the cinema, and kid-friendly festivals too.
I’ve been blogging in some way since 2000 which is a horribly long time ago, and have a handful of active sites:
The Adequate Parent (personal blog)
Sweetfoolthemouth (oldest site, music and interviews and things about my past)
Whitedog.org.uk (a site with scooter memorabilia from my mum and dad)
Blog Off (a new site, trying to share blog information and help as best I/we can)
